Important 

Drivers should not move their vehicle between 14.30 & 17.30 without permission from a marshal. All drivers must hold a full driving licence, must be aware of spectators and pedestrians. IF IN DOUBT STOP!!!!

Should be less than 2.1m wide and 6.2m long

Must be an appropriately insured and roadworthy

All rules and laws of the road apply

Please obey instructions and marshals

Drive at a steady pace with NO sprinting

The Show field is relatively flat.

Disabled Toilets available in the Academy Sports Hub.

Available on Academy site using a Mobile Phone App only (NO CASH PAYMENT POSSIBLE).

Dogs are not allowed on the Academy sports fields as a rule of the academy 

Range of food and drinks on site from 12 noon.

Picnics are welcome. As the event is located on School playing fields it is not possible for you to use glass, please use plastic or paper cups. Sorry NO Glass

Clubs can erect a Gazebo, they should email the organisers stating Its size so sufficient space is allowed for that club. 

No moving of vehicles during the show please
we are concerned about vehicles moving and causing a hazard with spectators and public

This is a non-profit making community event, with no set charges. Cash donations on the day are very welcome to offset Regatta costs.  You can also donate by bank transfer, Quoting ‘Car Show’ to Regatta

FOWEY CLASSIC CAR SHOW AND PARADE

THURSDAY AUGUST 22nd 2024
FOWEY RIVER ACADEMY, WINDMILL, FOWEY PL23 1HE  

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

  • CARS ARRIVE FROM         11.00am– 2.00pm (11.00 if you wish to leave your vehicle on site and visit the town).
  • PUBLIC VIEWING               2.30- 5.30pm
  • PARADE BEGINS                5.30pm (takes about 40 minutes) 

Please note At the request of the academy NO DOGS are allowed on the Academy site 

IMPORTANT, as there is ANPR parking on the Academy site, THE VEHICLE YOU REGISTER WILL BE RECORDED WITH THE PARKING COMPANY, ANY CHANGE of VEHICLE or REG number needs to be notified to us before attending. 

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC VISITING

PLEASE,  ensure there is a sign on your vehicle with

  • MAKE,
  • MODEL 
  • YEAR.

You can also include any interesting information and history.

PARADE. All vehicles must be roadworthy and insured

You will be notified nearer the time or  on the day if you are in the Parade, as there is a cap on numbers that the route can accommodate. 

The route is narrow and steep, may not be suitable for vehicles over 6m long and 2.1m wide. 

DRIVE VERY CAREFULLY WITH RESPECT FOR PEDESTRIANS AND SPECTATORS the streets are narrow and lined with spectators 

ALL NORMAL RULES OF THE ROAD APPLY 

ON SITE 

ENSURE CARS ARE 1.2m  metres (4ft) APART 

TOILETS AND REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE, PICNICS WELCOME. 

ANY COVID REGULATIONS RELEVANT AT THE TIME TO BE OBSERVED.

FOWEY CLASSIC CAR AND BIKE PARADE

Drivers must hold a full driving licence. Be aware of spectators and pedestrian!

IF IN DOUBT……………..STOP! 

PARADE STARTS AT 5.30PM AND TAKES ABOUT 40 MINUTES. 

ALL CARS SHOULD BE CLEAR BY 6:30PM 

Stewards will coordinate the commencement of the parade form the field. 

                          Please do not move your vehicle until asked to do so

 

 

ROUTE

See map above, once vehicles reach Caffa Mill they proceed up Passage Lane to end at Four Turnings roundabout, where the parade ends. (PL23 1JU) 

  • At Four Turnings roundabout you can turn 
  • LEFT…. Return to Fowey
  • STRAIGHT ON….Par , St Austell and West 
  • RIGHT…. Lostwithiel, Bodmin and East

YOUR VEHICLE
